Recently, the greater Los Angeles area has been ravaged by wildfires. As a leading global manufacturer of plastic pipe products, JM Eagle has pledged to donate $500,000 each to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the California Fire Foundation, and the Los Angeles Police Foundation to support the fire rescue efforts in Los Angeles.
This total donation of $1.5 million will be specifically used to provide equipment and gear for frontline firefighters and rescue personnel, enhancing safety and efficiency during disaster relief operations. Additionally, these funds will assist firefighters and police officers who have lost their homes in the wildfires to rebuild.
“Los Angeles is our home, and we are deeply touched by the tireless and fearless dedication of the Los Angeles Fire Department and Police Department in disaster relief efforts. In the face of the current post-disaster situation in the city, we stand in full support of the local rescue personnel to prevent future disasters and rebuild our City of Angels,” said Mr. Wang Wenxiang, Chairman and CEO of JM Eagle.
“We are extremely grateful to JM Eagle for their generous donation to our foundation, as the needs of the California Firefighters Charitable Foundation continue to grow,” stated Brian K. Rice, President of the California Fire Foundation. “Our dedicated firefighters, while protecting the community, have unfortunately had some of their own homes destroyed in this recent Los Angeles fire. This strong and direct support is a profound step towards their rebuilding process.”
LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell stated, “On behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department, I want to express our deepest gratitude to JM Eagle, Mr. Wang, and his wife for their generous donation of $500,000 to the Los Angeles Police Foundation. This significant contribution reflects their care and dedication to community safety and well-being, providing a morale boost to the officers who tirelessly protect our beloved city.”
“Such support enables our LAFD organization to respond promptly to the needs of frontline members. I sincerely thank Mr. Wang for recognizing our vision and passion, and for putting forth effort in serving our frontline personnel,” said Liz Lin, Chair of the Los Angeles Fire Foundation.
