Chinese Actress Zhao Liying Shares Selfies with Fans for Chinese New Year
On the second day of the Chinese New Year, mainland Chinese actress Zhao Liying posted a series of selfies on Weibo to wish her fans a happy new year. In the photos, she was wearing her grandmother’s hat and holding her grandfather’s red envelope, radiating a sense of happiness and warmth.
Recently sporting a chic short haircut, Zhao Liying shared a photo on January 30 of herself being treated as the “big baby” at her grandparents’ house. She also shared a photo of her grandfather’s pocket filled with red envelopes, leaving many fans envious and commenting on the loving environment she grew up in.
In the selfies shared by Zhao Liying, she posed in various angles and postures. In one photo, she was dressed in a grey home outfit, gently smiling at the camera with her hand on her cheek; in another, she charmingly wore her grandmother’s vintage knitted hat; and finally, she happily displayed the red envelopes in her grandfather’s pocket. Despite the close-up shot of the red envelopes, many netizens were touched by the loving family atmosphere she showcased.
At 37 years old, Zhao Liying rose to fame with dramas like “The Journey of Flower” and “Princess Agents,” earning her the title of “Mainland Drama Ratings Queen.” She married actor Feng Shaofeng in 2018, and they have a son named “Little Thinking.” Unfortunately, their marriage only lasted 3 years, leading to intense public scrutiny of their relationship status post-divorce.
While Zhao Liying shared her beautiful selfies to wish her fans a happy new year, Feng Shaofeng also extended his blessings to fans on the same day with a message wishing everyone good luck and happiness in the Year of the Snake. He included three heart emojis and three rose emoticons, hinting at a possible reconciliation and sparking speculations of a possible reunion.
Last year, Zhao Liying won the Flying Apsaras Award for Best Actress and the Golden Eagle Award for Best Actress for her role as “Xu Banxia” in “Our Secret.” She has become a model for the “85 Flowers” generation in the entertainment industry. As someone known as the “hardworking mother of three” in showbiz, she once revealed the challenges of balancing her career and family after becoming a mother. She emphasized the importance of choosing meaningful work, giving her all when working, and striving to spend more time with her family.
Zhao Liying previously disclosed that during filming, she would isolate herself from the outside world, rarely meeting with her family to avoid distractions that could affect her performance. Last year, she was captured several times taking her son on vacation during breaks from filming, and enjoying family dinners. Sometimes, she was spotted seizing the opportunity to cherish moments with her loved ones before heading back to the set.
