Anhui woman buys milk as a New Year’s gift, ends up keeping it herself.

During the Chinese New Year period, a woman in Anhui Province bought a box of milk to give to her mother. Her mother then passed this box of milk on to other relatives, and after a series of twists and turns, the box of milk ended up back in the hands of the woman. This news made it to the top of Baidu’s trending searches on January 2nd.

On February 1st, a woman named Zhang from Bengbu City, Anhui Province, shared a video online recounting the journey of a box of milk.

In the video, Zhang explained that she bought a box of milk as a New Year gift for her mother. Since her mother didn’t like drinking milk, she gave the milk to her third aunt when visiting her during the New Year. The third aunt then passed this box of milk to her uncle’s wife. When the uncle’s wife visited Zhang’s house, she brought the box of milk back.

Zhang jokingly said, “This milk has been through many hands, like a cycle, sent back and forth until it reached me again.”
