Zhao Wei’s company forced to pay 14,177 yuan

On November 19th, the news that “ZHAO Wei Company Forced to Execute 14,177 yuan” (Chinese yuan, hereinafter) hit the top trending spot on Weibo.

According to legal litigation information from Tianyancha, recently, a new execution information was added for Zhao Wei, Tibet Longwei Cultural Media Co., Ltd., and Xiangyuan Wenlv, with an execution target of 8,488 yuan, and the executing court being the Intermediate People’s Court of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. In addition, the two aforementioned companies were also forced to execute 5,689 yuan.

Tibet Longwei Cultural Media Co., Ltd. was established in November 2016, with Peng Shengkai as the legal representative, a registered capital of 2 million Chinese yuan, with Zhao Wei and Sun Dan holding 95% and 5% of the shares respectively.

At the end of 2016, Zhao Wei’s controlled Longwei Media planned to acquire Wanjia Culture for 3.06 billion yuan (now renamed “Xiangyuan Wenlv”), but later the equity transfer was completely terminated.

In April 2018, the China Securities Regulatory Commission issued administrative penalty decisions on Wanjia Culture and market entry bans on relevant personnel. Zhao Wei and her husband Huang Youlong, as well as the controlling shareholder of the listed company Kong Deyong, were each subject to a 5-year ban on the securities market. Meanwhile, Wanjia Culture and Longwei Media were ordered to make corrections, given warnings, and fined 600,000 yuan each; Kong Deyong, Huang Youlong, Zhao Wei were warned and fined 300,000 yuan each.

Zhao Wei rose to fame with the TV drama “My Fair Princess.” On August 26, 2021, she was suddenly banned from the entire mainland Chinese internet. Her film and television works were all taken down from various platforms, her name was removed from actor lists, her Weibo super topics were closed, unreleased works were recast, leading to widespread panic in the entertainment industry. Even her close friends in the industry started distancing themselves from her on Weibo, seemingly afraid of any association.

There were rumors that Zhao Wei secretly immigrated to France, but she later revealed on IG that she was in Beijing with her parents. She was also spotted by netizens at the airport holding a Chinese ID card, dispelling the related rumors.

There have been occasional rumors in recent years of Zhao Wei’s comeback, but nothing has materialized. Currently, searching for “Zhao Wei” on major video platforms and film and television apps still yields no results.

However, late at night on November 12th, Zhao Wei suddenly posted a photo on IG of a spinning top with a sunflower emoji, sparking speculation and discussion among netizens.
