Zhang Lan and Wang Xiaofei’s TikTok accounts suspended indefinitely

On February 8th, Douyin Blackboard News announced an indefinite ban on the accounts of “I am Xia Xiaojian,” “Zhang Lan · Qiaoshenghuo,” “Zhang Lan’s Arrow’s Yue Selection,” and “Wang Xiaofei.”

The announcement mentioned that the recent passing of Ms. Xu Xiuan (Da S) has garnered widespread attention, with many netizens expressing their condolences and hoping for the deceased to rest in peace. However, some accounts took advantage of the situation to spread rumors, disrespect the deceased and their family, and harm public sentiment. For example, the account “I am Xia Xiaojian” spread false information that misled the public, creating a negative impact. Accounts like “Zhang Lan · Qiaoshenghuo” exploited the deceased for malicious marketing, promoting untrue videos for commercial gain, and repeatedly posting false and infringing content. In accordance with relevant regulations, the accounts mentioned were indefinitely banned.

Subsequently, the topic “Zhang Lan and Wang Xiaofei’s Douyin accounts indefinitely banned” trended.

Recently, Taiwanese actress Da S (Xu Xiuan) passed away in Japan at the age of 48 due to flu and pneumonia. According to Taiwanese media reports, Da S’s remains were flown back to Taiwan on a chartered flight on the afternoon of February 5th.

On the evening of February 5th, blogger Xia Xiaojian claimed in a video that Wang Xiaofei covered the charter flight costs for Da S’s return, praising Wang Xiaofei as a reliable former partner. Wang Xiaofei’s mother, Zhang Lan, subsequently liked and recommended the video, leading many netizens to mistakenly believe that Wang Xiaofei had covered the flight costs. The video quickly trended.

However, friends and family of S were reportedly angered by this and criticized Wang Xiaofei as “extremely disgusting and telling lies with eyes open,” revealing that matters related to the charter flight were handled by S’s friends and family, with Wu Junye heavily involved.

Da S also clarified through her agent, stating, “My sister’s affairs, including the charter flight and all arrangements, are handled by the Xu family. Everything is managed by the Xu family and my husband Mike. I cannot understand why this lie about Wang Xiaofei covering the flight costs surfaced! Actions have consequences, especially with my sister now in heaven. Can we tolerate such unforgivable lies?”

On the same day, the private aviation company that facilitated Da S’s return to Taiwan released a statement debunking rumors, stating that all expenses for the chartered flight from Tokyo, Japan to Taiwan were fully paid by Xu Xidi (Xiao S) and not related to other circulated claims.

According to the Morning News, after Da S’s passing, Zhang Lan appeared in a live stream on Douyin on February 6th, attracting over 100,000 viewers. Faced with criticisms from viewers accusing her of dishonesty, she responded boldly, saying, “Not afraid of the haters, not afraid of curses, because one curse brings ten years of prosperity.” She emphasized that she walks and stands upright, demonstrating an increased sense of integrity compared to before. However, her live stream was banned just over an hour after its commencement.
