With the development of technology, remote work is becoming increasingly popular, but the competition is also intensifying. Currently, there are ten companies that allow you to work from home or anywhere else, and they are actively recruiting. Some of these positions offer an annual salary exceeding $100,000.
FlexJobs states that employees are placing more importance on the flexibility of their work locations. A recent survey found that over half (58%) of people are willing to take a pay cut in exchange for remote work opportunities.
Despite the passing of the COVID-19 pandemic, some well-known companies are still recruiting for positions that offer more remote work options and flexibility. FlexJobs found that in 2024, the number of remote positions increased by 20% compared to 2023, reaching a growth level similar to what was seen in 2022.
FlexJobs analyzed its database to determine which companies had the highest number of remote and location-flexible job postings between January and December 2024, in order to identify the top companies currently recruiting for such positions.
According to FlexJobs data, the following ten companies have posted a significant number of job vacancies without location restrictions. All companies in the ranking offer full-time or part-time remote work, without location requirements or the need to spend time in the office:
1. Veeva
2. Invisible Technologies
3. Canonical
4. Social Discovery Group
5. Wikimedia Foundation
6. Remote
7. Chainlink Labs

10. CloudLinux
FlexJobs career expert manager Toni Frana told CNBC Make It that trends such as digital nomads and the widespread availability of digital nomad visas are driving the demand for location-independent job positions, but the market competition remains fierce.
To increase the chances of landing these positions, Frana suggests that job seekers apply to at least two to three companies, connect with employees of target companies, and seek referrals.
According to ZipRecruiter’s data, the most in-demand positions in businesses currently include product managers and software engineers, both of which have average annual salaries exceeding $100,000 in the United States. These positions typically require at least a bachelor’s degree and technical skills, including knowledge of programming languages and project management software.
Many companies are also recruiting for roles like sales development representatives, marketing, and editing, which allow for flexible work locations. Approximately 70% of remote positions, according to FlexJobs database, are mid-level positions or require extensive experience.
FlexJobs also listed the top ten occupational categories with the most flexible location positions, which are:
