Wang Xing and His Girlfriend Go Live for the First Time: Hope to Turn Their Experience into a Movie.

Chinese actor Wang Xing was previously deceived into auditioning in Thailand and was then kidnapped and taken to a fraud haven in Myawaddy, Myanmar. After efforts from various parties, Wang Xing was eventually rescued and returned home. On the evening of February 4th, Wang Xing and his girlfriend Jia Jia went live for the first time, attracting the attention of many fans.

In the live broadcast, Wang Xing revealed how he met his girlfriend and shared amusing anecdotes from their time together. Additionally, they answered fan questions, discussed future plans, and goals.

When asked if he would consider turning his ordeal into a movie, Wang Xing responded, “If there is a real opportunity and the purpose is to alert more people, raise awareness, then I would definitely be willing to do such a thing.”

Regarding why he didn’t accept media interviews, Wang Xing said, “I want to clarify that we did not sign a confidentiality agreement because at that time, we didn’t know how things would develop next, and we felt that maintaining silence was a form of protection.”

Wang Xing’s girlfriend Jia Jia posted a plea for help on her social account “Insomniac Dad” on January 5th, stating that her boyfriend Wang Xing went to Thailand for a film shoot and went missing around noon on January 3rd near the Thai-Myanmar border. Wang Xing was successfully rescued on January 7th local time, and netizens praised Jia Jia for her crucial role in his rescue.

Before being deceived into going to Thailand, Wang Xing saw a recruitment post in a professional actors’ group and added a coordinator named “Yan Sixteen” claiming to be from the Thai company GMM Grammy. Public records show that GMM Grammy, known as Asia Grammy Entertainment Limited, was founded in 1983 by Thai-Chinese entrepreneur Huang Minhui.

“Yan Sixteen” is a key suspect in the Wang Xing case and was arrested at the end of January and brought back to China. In a video, Yan Sixteen was seen being escorted back to China by two people in black, wearing a white shirt, a cap, a mask covering his face, handcuffed, and holding a plastic bag.

Yan Sixteen’s true identity was exposed. Several industry collaborators and insiders revealed to The New Jing Bao that Yan Sixteen was born in a rural family in Donghai County, Jiangsu Province, with the real name Yan Wenlei, also known as Yan Junfeng, Yan Chao, and nicknamed “Fatty.” Over the past decade, Yan Sixteen had worked as an extra in various film crews in Hengdian, managed production affairs, operated cameras, and eventually became an action director with some martial arts skills. In 2018, he even directed the film “Rebirth at Dawn” under the name Yan Junfeng.

In the Chinese entertainment industry, there have been rumors that dozens of actors were invited to audition in Thailand and went missing, with nine of them invited by “Yan Sixteen.” Apart from actor Wang Xing, Yan Sixteen also recruited behind-the-scenes workers such as photographers, lighting technicians, art directors, and stagehands to go to Thailand, including male model Yang Zeqi, lighting technician Sun, and others.

A Chinese businessman who escaped from the fraud haven in Myanmar once revealed online that the masterminds behind the operation were all Chinese, and those being caught were always low-level leaders. He mentioned, “The real masterminds, no one ever knows who they are, truly no idea, so the ones caught are always small fry… there are deep waters behind him.”
