On July 13, the topic of “Unidentified Flying Objects in Guangdong” appeared on the hot search list of social media platforms in mainland China. Reports indicated that on the evening of the 12th, residents in various areas of Guangdong, such as Shenzhen and Shantou, witnessed unidentified flying objects in the sky.
Some netizens even captured the sky phenomenon on video. The footage showed bright spots in the sky moving with a long trail of light behind them, resembling a flight path.
According to a report by “Upstream News,” a witness named Mr. Chen mentioned that he saw something flying in the sky and initially thought it was a meteor, but “the process lasted for almost ten minutes.”
Mainland Chinese netizens have been speculating about the origins of the unidentified flying objects. Some guessed it could be related to extraterrestrial beings, while others speculated it might be connected to rockets or missiles.
“Could it be debris from a rocket or satellite falling?” “Perhaps it’s the controlled destruction and burning of discarded aircraft entering the atmosphere, with some parts falling into a predetermined ocean area. Or maybe it’s aliens visiting Earth for summer vacation.”
Last August, residents in Huizhou, Guangdong, also captured footage of multiple unidentified flying objects emitting blue-purple light in the sky.
