Ukraine: Russian Missile Attack on Border City Sumy Kills 11, Injures 89

Photos shared on Telegram by the department depicted firefighters extinguishing flames engulfing vehicles and rescuers evacuating people from buildings. One image showed extensive damage, with nearly all windows of a nine-story building shattered and its exterior walls compromised.

The local prosecutor in the Sumy region revealed that the attack caused damage to 90 apartments, 28 vehicles, two educational institutions, and 13 buildings.

On Sunday morning, Russia launched a massive bombardment on Ukraine’s power grid. Kyiv described it as a “massive” attack, with Russia firing 120 missiles and deploying 90 drones, resulting in at least 7 fatalities.

Moscow acknowledged launching large-scale missile and drone attacks on critical energy infrastructure in Ukraine but claimed that all targets were related to Ukraine’s military industry.
