On the evening of February 10th around 8 p.m., an unidentified flying object quietly appeared in the night sky of Zhangzhou, Fujian province. Several residents used their phones to record its flight.
According to a report by Guizhou TV’s “People’s Concern,” Zhangzhou residents stated that they saw an unidentified flying object in the sky forming a dot, dispersing then lining up in a single file, initially mistaking it for a drone. Later on, they observed it transforming from one to two objects, then suddenly more than ten lined up in a row, eventually forming a circular shape, which made them realize it was not a drone.
Mr. Zhang, a resident, described the movement speed of the object as extremely fast, disappearing in just a few seconds. “The speed at which the object moved was simply astonishing! It started as a tiny dot in the sky, swiftly spreading out to form a single-file alignment. The speed and unique form made me immediately realize this was no ordinary drone.”
Videos and photos taken at the scene show the unidentified flying object’s unusually rapid and organized trajectory. However, this peculiar sight only lasted for a few seconds before vanishing without a trace.
This phenomenon quickly spread on social media. Discussions about this unidentified flying object flooded moments on WeChat, posts on Weibo, and videos on Douyin. Netizens shared their heated comments and speculations.
Some online users joked, “This must be aliens touring Earth, probably thinking Fujian has great scenery and decided to check it out first.” Others commented, “Stop guessing randomly; it could be some special military operation.”
Despite public doubts and speculations, the Zhangzhou municipal government and relevant departments claimed they had no knowledge of the incident.
As of February 11th, there is still no definitive explanation for what this mysterious unidentified flying object was.
An article by Jingwen Society stated that the Zhangzhou UFO incident reflects a spirit of the technological era: holding quantum computers yet unable to unlock the geometry puzzle above our heads; constructing the metaverse yet arguing over a few dots of light. “In this era of global satellite positioning and ubiquitous AI surveillance, why do we still struggle to unravel the mysteries above our heads?”
