Former US President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, made his debut at his father’s campaign rally on Tuesday, July 9, and garnered attention and welcome from attendees.
On Tuesday evening, the 18-year-old Barron made a rare appearance at Trump’s campaign rally in Doral, Miami-Dade County, Florida, becoming a highlight of the night.
Introducing his son, Trump said, “A very young man, about to go to college.”
The presumptive Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election stated, “He got into every college he wanted to go to, made his choices. He’s a very talented person, I can tell you… he’s a very special person.”
Regarding his son’s presence at his campaign rally, Trump emphasized to attendees, “This is his first time doing this.”
Trump urged Barron, who had recently graduated from high school, to stand up from the crowd and told the audience, “Look at him!”
Barron then stood up, quickly waved to the crowd, and raised his fist. His father informed the audience that he was “quite well-received,” possibly even more popular than his two older brothers, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.
“So Barron, great to have you,” Trump said, adding that Barron “had such a good, easy life. And now, things are a little bit different.”
Barron is the only child of Trump and his third wife, former First Lady Melania Trump, and the youngest among Trump’s children. Unlike his half-siblings, Barron has always kept a low profile. However, in May of this year, the Florida Republican Party selected Barron as one of the 41 delegates to attend this year’s Republican National Convention, where the party will officially nominate his father as the candidate for the November US presidential election.
However, his mother Melania quickly stated that he had declined the invitation from the Florida Republican Party.
