Trump’s inaugural speech focuses on ten major themes.

On Monday, January 20th, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States in the Rotunda of the US Capitol building. In his speech, Trump declared that the golden era of America begins now. He focused his address on ten major themes.

“America’s golden era begins now,” Trump said. “From today onward, our country will flourish and be respected.”

“I will put America first,” he said. “The scales of justice will be rebalanced.” He emphasized ending the weaponization of the Department of Justice and government.

Trump stated that as the 47th president, he returns with confidence and optimism, marking the beginning of a new era of national success for America.

“A wave of change is sweeping across the country,” he said. “Sunshine is spreading throughout the world, and America has unprecedented opportunities to seize this moment.”

He emphasized being authorized to “thoroughly reverse” the “horrible betrayal” of the ruling class towards the American people, promising to restore their faith, wealth, democracy, and freedom.

“From this moment, America’s decline ends,” he said. He vowed to instruct all cabinet members to do their utmost to “defeat” inflation and “rapidly decrease costs and prices.”

“We will once again become a wealthy nation,” he said, attributing the reason he was saved by God to make America great again.

Trump pledged to “immediately start a thorough reform of our trade system to protect American workers and families.”

“We will impose tariffs on foreign countries to make our citizens prosperous,” he said. “To this end, we are establishing an ‘Outward Taxation Bureau’ to collect all tariffs, taxes, and other income.”

He added that this would bring in a significant amount of foreign funds to the US Treasury.

“The American dream will soon return,” he said.

Trump announced his intention to sign an executive order today declaring a state of national emergency at the US-Mexico border.

He stated that all illegal immigration would be “immediately halted,” adding that the government would begin deporting millions of “criminal aliens” back to their home countries.

He discussed some actions he plans to take, including reinstating the “Remain in Mexico” policy and deploying more troops and personnel to the border.

Trump expressed that he will declare a national energy emergency, reiterating his government’s commitment to enhance oil and natural gas drilling on US soil.

“America will once again become a manufacturing nation,” he added, saying the US has the most oil and natural gas on Earth, and they will make use of it.

Trump said his government will strive to address every crisis with “dignity, strength, and power” and will “bring prosperity to citizens of all races, religions, skin colors, and beliefs.”

He stated that January 20, 2025, the inauguration day, is Freedom Day. “I hope our recent presidential election will be remembered as the greatest and most impactful in American history,” he added.

Trump announced that the executive order today will designate certain cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

By invoking the 1798 Foreign Enemies Act, he will instruct the government to utilize the “full and immense power of federal and state law enforcement agencies” to eliminate “foreign gangs on American soil.”

In his inaugural speech, Trump stated that Panama violated the treaty agreement requiring the operation of the canal to remain neutral.

“US ships are being severely overcharged, receiving unfair treatment in various ways, shapes, or forms, including the US Navy,” he said.

He emphasized, “Most importantly, China is operating the Panama Canal, but we did not give it to China. We gave it to Panama. We are taking it back.”

Addressing African American voters and the Hispanic community, Trump thanked them for “pouring in love and trust.”

“I have heard your voices during the campaign, and I look forward to working with you,” he said. Today, January 20th, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, commemorating the famous civil rights activist.

“We will strive to make his dream a reality,” he said.

Trump stressed that the message he conveys to Americans is to “take action with courage, vitality, and the life force of the greatest civilization in history.”

He added that America will increase wealth, expand territory, and bring its flag into new horizons – including entering Mars and planting the flag on Mars.

Speaking about the recent Los Angeles wildfires, Trump said, “They’ve swept through homes and communities, even affecting some of the wealthiest and most powerful people in our country, some of whom are present here. They have no home now.”
