“Trump to Attend Reopening Ceremony of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris”

United States President Trump will visit France, marking his first trip to Europe since the election and a rare public appearance after his election.

According to the “Congress Hill Report,” Trump will attend the official reopening ceremony of the famous landmark Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Saturday, December 7. He will dine with world leaders, royalty, and celebrities.

In 2019, Notre Dame Cathedral suffered a major fire, causing severe damage to its roof and spire. After a massive five-year reconstruction project, this 900-year-old cathedral, spire, rib vaults, flying buttresses, stained glass windows, and gargoyles have been restored to their former glory.

The celebration will last for two days, starting with a speech by French President Macron in the limestone courtyard, followed by a religious ceremony inside the cathedral.

Paris Archbishop Laurent Ulrich will use his bishop’s staff to knock on the cathedral’s door and chant Psalm 121 to symbolize the church’s rebirth.

Approximately 50 heads of state are expected to attend the ceremony, including Jill Biden, the wife of outgoing U.S. President Biden. The White House has not confirmed whether Biden will be present. However, Pope Francis will not attend as he announced in September a historic visit to the French island of Corsica, a decision that surprised many.
