Furthermore, in order to prevent the impairment of reputation of Beijing Culture’s subsidiary, Star River Culture, founded by renowned agent Wang Jinghua, Song Ge instructed several individuals to falsify business related to film and television dramas, brand marketing agency business, resulting in inflating assets by over 16.68 million yuan, inflating revenue by over 7.44 million yuan, and inflating profits by over 8.63 million yuan.
Ultimately, the financial fraud led to Beijing Culture inflating its assets by over 648 million yuan and profits by over 658 million yuan in the 2018 annual report, with the inflated profits accounting for 158% of the disclosed profit for the period. Song Ge and others confirmed the contents of the annual report by signing it.
Public records show that Song Ge previously served as chairman and film consultant of Beijing Culture, spearheading investments in patriotic films such as “The Wandering Earth” (box office of 5 billion) starring Wu Jing, and “Wolf Warrior 2” (box office of 5.6 billion).
