The first mainland Chinese mixed-blood and internet celebrity, Ya Ya (Liu Zhenya), who was the first to be expelled from Taiwan due to advocating for the CCP to unify Taiwan by force, left Taiwan by plane from Songshan Airport on the evening of the 25th. Mainland Chinese netizens captured images of Liu Zhenya leaving the airport, where there were no flowers, tight security, and several men in black clothing accompanied her all the way, not uttering a word, and directly escorted Ya Ya into a silver van.
According to reports from Taiwanese media, due to Liu Zhenya advocating for the use of force for unification, her family reunion residence permit was revoked, and on the evening of March 25, she took a flight back to China from Songshan Airport.
Several mainland Chinese netizens posted videos of Ya Ya passing through Fuzhou Customs.
Liu Zhenya wore a pink baseball cap, accompanied by several plainclothes individuals escorting her and helping with her luggage, all without saying a word, directly putting Ya Ya into a silver van and driving away.
The Liberty Times reported that Ya Ya landed at Fuzhou Changle Airport at 9:59 p.m. on the 25th, with many Chinese netizens live-streaming her arrival on TikTok, but later their accounts were suspended. Former DPP Taoyuan City Councilor Wang Haoyu posted on Facebook late at night, saying: “She went to China. Many people went to the airport to greet her, but Ya Ya disappeared, seemingly taken away. All TikTok live streams of her arrival vanished.”
During her time residing in Taiwan with a family reunion permit, Liu Zhenya frequently promoted the idea of “unification with the motherland.” However, when the National Immigration Agency revoked her residence permit, making her ineligible to apply for family reunion residency for the next five years, she was required to leave by the 25th, but she declared that she “does not intend to leave voluntarily,” even seeking the help of civic groups to hold a press conference outside the Ministry of the Interior to appeal for the decision to be reversed. Ya Ya had previously claimed that leaving Taiwan was “pushing her and her family into an irreversible abyss,” and even published a letter titled “A Letter from Ya Ya to Taiwanese Compatriots,” arguing that she had never advocated for the use of force for unification. However, many Chinese netizens and nationalist supporters closely following Ya Ya’s departure from Taiwan all unanimously shouted out to her, “Dear, we have been waiting for you in the abyss for so long!”
In the end, Ya Ya changed her mind and voluntarily left Taiwan. That evening, she was interviewed at Taipei Songshan Airport, stating that she did not return because she admitted fault, but only to avoid leaving behind legal blemishes affecting her future return to Taiwan.
As of the 26th, mainland Chinese netizens are still discussing this matter.
Wuguo in Thailand: “Internet celebrity Ya Ya lands in Fuzhou, with no flowers welcoming her, only security! Is she really facing an abyss?”
Some netizens said, “Internet celebrity Ya Ya has finally returned to the mainland, although few people welcomed her, and her mood was not good, but coming back to do business should be good.”
Chinese blogger Hu Di said in a video, “I saw that Ms. Ya Ya has safely returned to the embrace of our motherland. I am truly happy for her, especially seeing her board the plane, her excited and tearful expression. She must be thinking, I can finally return to the homeland I’ve missed so much. But why didn’t she bring Xiao Danggui back? Are you questioning the education here, or worried about food safety, not letting her grow up healthy? Xiao Danggui is a flower of the motherland, are you really okay letting her grow up in Taiwan and receive their education? Growing up means joining the army. Joining the army means opposing us.”
Xiang Song said, “Ya Ya accepts interviews with Taiwanese media, begging to stay in Taiwan to accompany her three children. It turns out she did not want to return to the mainland. The most precious consensus in this incident is that compatriots from both sides of the strait surprisingly unanimously support her return to the mainland. But the most ironic thing is that the only person who doesn’t want to return to the mainland is the woman who used to really want to return.”
LL Lu Lu Six Six said, “Let the three children come back to be patriots, do live streaming and promote products together, with patriots buying, they’ll become rich quickly.”
Big Head Cabbage Egg Flower Soup said, “Left, lost the traffic, lost the value, what about the three children? Families here have the capability to support three children, they would never run to the other side.”
Zi Mo Mu Yu said, “The female version of Sima Nan.”
“Downcast Third Uncle” said, “Seeing her confirmed to be leaving, she posted videos praising Taiwan’s health insurance and saying being expelled from Taiwan is falling into an irreversible abyss. Hasn’t the New Agricultural Mutual Aid system on the mainland been enough for you? Or is it that the children can’t enroll in schools upon returning to Taiwan? The country should intervene, not allowing the separation of families or obstacles for New Agricultural Mutual Aid and rural children’s schooling to become hindrances for off-shore patriotic warriors returning to the motherland. Come back, offshore patriotic fighters.”
Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council emphasized on the 25th that a very small number of mainland spouses who express extreme disrespect towards Taiwan repeatedly endanger national security and social stability, have already violated the law, and are not tolerated by society.
The Mainland Affairs Council also stated that the majority of mainland spouses love Taiwan and are willing to become a part of Taiwan, hoping the people will not label specific groups due to recent extreme incidents, continuing to extend open and warm hands, welcoming mainland spouses to integrate into Taiwanese society.
