Renowned American Venture Capitalist Horowitz Plans to Donate to Janet Yellen

US venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz’s co-founder, Ben Horowitz, recently praised Donald Trump’s economic policies and made a donation to Trump. Less than three months later, Horowitz plans to donate to Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

In a letter to employees, Horowitz revealed that he and his wife, Felicia, have a long-standing friendship with Harris. “I wanted to update you on my political activities. As I mentioned before, Felicia and I have known Vice President Harris for over 10 years, and during this time, she has been a good friend to both of us.”

Horowitz wrote, “Based on our friendship, Felicia and I will be making a significant donation to Harris-Valdez’s campaign team.”

CNBC and Axios confirmed the contents of the letter.

Andreessen and Horowitz founded Andreessen Horowitz in 2009. As of now, they have not endorsed any candidate in the 2024 election.

Regarding the donation to Trump, Horowitz stated it was because of Trump’s better “small tech agenda.” The company is frustrated with President Biden’s business policies, especially towards cryptocurrency, startups, large mergers, regulations, and restrictive policies.

In a blog post on July 5th, Andreessen and Horowitz stated, “Our company’s political activities will focus on supporting and defending the interests of small tech companies. We do not engage in political battles unrelated to small tech.”

In his latest letter, Horowitz expressed confidence in Harris after conversations with her and her team. However, he mentioned that the company will not update its stance in this regard since Harris’ team has not outlined their tech policies yet.
