Preview: Who Will Enter the White House? NTD Election Day Special Program

The 2024 United States presidential election on November 5 has drawn significant attention. Incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are engaged in a fierce competition. Who will ascend to the presidency and take control of the White House?

New Tang Dynasty Television and Epoch Times will provide live coverage on the day, starting at 8 a.m. Eastern Time, to track the election progress and offer accurate information in real-time. They will connect with journalists in seven pivotal swing states and invite over 20 experts to provide in-depth analysis and commentary.

According to media reports, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’s lead in the polls has gradually diminished in recent days, with Republican candidate Trump in a neck-and-neck position. The race is tight in the seven crucial states with almost evenly split percentages.

With a week left until election day, both candidates are relentlessly campaigning in swing states to win over more voters.

On Sunday night, Trump delivered a speech in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, a Democratic stronghold, promising to address issues like ending inflation and securing the southern border if elected. Former First Lady Melania Trump made a rare appearance to support him and also gave a speech.

At the same time, Harris held a campaign rally in the Democratic stronghold of Philadelphia, attracting a crowd of 30,000 with singer Beyoncé making a guest appearance. Harris gave her final speech on the Ellipse lawn in Washington on Tuesday.

Voter turnout is high, with nearly 47.5 million voters having cast their votes by Monday night, almost one-third of the 158.4 million U.S. voters in 2020. Long queues have been witnessed at polling stations across the country.

The five key issues in the U.S. election currently are the economy and taxation, immigration, abortion, foreign policy, and climate change. Harris and Trump have presented different proposals on tackling these issues. The question remains on who will bring prosperity to America and how voters will make their choices.

On November 5, all eyes will be on the outcome as New Tang Dynasty Television and Epoch Times will reveal the results simultaneously.

This election will also determine the composition of the 119th new Congress. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives and one-third of the 100 seats in the Senate will be up for reelection. The Democrats are defending their Senate seats while the Republicans need to expand their majority in the House of Representatives.

Current polls suggest a potential red wave in the congressional elections, with the Republicans possibly regaining the majority in the Senate and potentially taking control of both chambers.
