The 97th Oscar Awards nomination list was announced on January 23, in the local time in the United States. The film “Dream of Dazzling Women” led with 13 nominations, followed closely by “Wicked Witch” and “The Brutalist Architect” with 10 nominations each.
In the 2024 Oscar Awards, “Dream of Dazzling Women” led the nominations with 13 nominations, followed by “Wicked Witch” and “The Brutalist Architect” with 10 nominations. “Secret Meeting” and “Bob Dylan: Rock Poet” both received 8 nominations tied for third place. Due to the serious situation of the Los Angeles wildfire, the organizers of this week’s Oscar Awards also announced that the TV broadcast of the awards ceremony in March would “recognize those who bravely fought the fire.”
In addition to the above five nominated films for Best Picture, other nominated films include “Anora,” “Dune: Part Two,” “I’m Still Here,” “Nickel Boys,” and “The Substance of Fear.” Brady Cobalt, who won the Golden Globe Award this year for “The Brutalist Architect,” is expected to continue his success by winning the Best Actor award. Similarly, Fernanda Torres, who won the Golden Globe Award for “I’m Still Here,” also has a chance to win her second Best Actress award.
The 97th Oscar Awards ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California on the evening of March 2nd, U.S. Pacific Time (March 3rd morning Taiwan Time), and will be broadcast on ABC as usual.
