Netizens shared a video claiming that on the evening of June 19th, a fire engulfed a building in Tudian Village, Fengcheng Town, Wenshui County, completely destroying and collapsing the entire structure. The video showed flames shooting up into the sky, engulfing the building in a fiery blaze. After the fire was put out, the scene was nothing but rubble. Many onlookers were present at the time of the incident.
According to the Xinjing News, information obtained from relevant departments in Wenshui County revealed that the building that caught fire was a locally-owned steel structure with four floors. The building was usually rented out to tenants. At the time of the incident, a family of three tenants, including a 5-year-old child, were trapped inside and tragically did not survive.
Witnesses stated that the building had completely collapsed due to the fire, and the landlord of the property has been detained by local authorities.
Local residents reported that the fire was extinguished around 12:30 a.m. that night. Some netizens speculated, “A normal steel or brick structure wouldn’t burn like that.
