China’s actor Wang Xing was recently rescued after being deceived into a telefraud park in Myanmar, but there are still many victims awaiting rescue. More than a week after the incident, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security only announced on the 15th that they would launch a crackdown operation to rescue those trapped, sparking ridicule from netizens. Various sources indicate that there may be support from the Chinese Communist Party behind the scenes of the telefraud park in Myanmar. Wang Xing’s rescue has been reported to have hidden secrets.
After being rescued on January 7th, Wang Xing disclosed that there were 50 other Chinese individuals detained in the telefraud park in Myanmar with him. Many families of the trapped individuals have been seeking help through various means such as social media. One help document collated by a group of families of the telefraud park victims is called the “Star Return Plan,” which has received 1,530 requests for assistance as of January 15th, with many missing persons cases indicating that the police refused to file reports.
The Chinese Ministry of Public Security claimed yesterday (15th) that they would cooperate with relevant national police forces to launch a crackdown operation, to fully dismantle overseas telefraud dens and coordinate the rescue of those trapped.
The statement from the Public Security Ministry sparked mockery from netizens: “For the government, making a phone call is a simple matter, after all, it’s China’s overseas business.” “The only reason the problem cannot be solved is that the people solving the problem are the ones causing it.” “What’s the use of closing the door after the horse has bolted? The ugly face is well known to all, just talk and no action, a sham, a show project, a perfect face-saving operation.” “The authorities in Beijing are the biggest beneficiaries of fraud and organ trafficking.”
The case of Chinese actor Wang Xing has brought renewed attention to the telefraud park in Myanmar, with public opinion questioning whether the Chinese Communist Party is the mastermind behind it. The state media Global Times was exposed for once featuring the founder of KK Park in a positive light, and has since deleted the article.
In April 2019, the official website of the Global Times published a report titled “Listening to Chinese Entrepreneurs Tell Stories of ‘Belt and Road’: Co-building Special Zones in the Barren Land of Myanmar.” The report mentioned a “private entrepreneur” who is identified as Duan Zhongli, the founder of KK Park in Myanmar.
The report stated that the Asia-Pacific Waterville Economic Zone in Myanmar, just a river away from Thailand, is an important economic corridor in China’s “Belt and Road” initiative. In 2006, Duan Zhongli from Yunnan, China, participated in the Asia-Pacific Waterville Economic Zone project under the backdrop of the “Belt and Road” initiative.
Waterville Valley, located in Myanmar’s Myawaddy, is a gathering place for telefraud parks. The notorious KK Park is situated there. The “Belt and Road” project mentioned in the Chinese state media reports, the Asia-Pacific Waterville Economic Zone, is also closely associated with KK Park.
According to media reports, KK Park is one of the most terrifying telefraud parks in Myanmar, with reports of numerous armed personnel guarding the area. The park is not only involved in telecom fraud but also reportedly practices torture, gang rape, killings, and even organ harvesting.
In October 2023, Radio Free Asia reported that the Fujian bosses of KK Park are Huang Peng, You Zimeng, Zhang Jin, and a person known as “Winter Melon” along with someone surnamed Jin. Duan Zhongli, who is said to have connections to China’s national security, is frequently seen in KK Park. It is said that Duan Zhongli not only oversees KK Park but also has relations with many telefraud parks, essentially acting as a spokesperson for the Chinese authorities in Myanmar with a relatively high level of influence.
Another “Belt and Road” project adjoining KK Park, the “Myanmar Asia-Pacific International Smart Industry New City” (referred to as “Asia-Pacific New City”), also reportedly involves telefraud and the gambling industry. This park was founded by another Chinese national security agent, She Zhijiang. The Chinese state media had previously praised both him and the project extensively. She Zhijiang later fell out with the Chinese national security and was lured, arrested, and detained in Thailand. After his arrest, several senior Chinese national security personnel in Myanmar were exposed, many of whom have connections to telefraud parks.
On January 14th, an informant disclosed to “Seeing China” the entire process of Wang Xing’s release and why only one person was rescued by the Thai side.
The informant stated that Wang Xing’s release was not orchestrated by the Thai police or the Chinese consulate, but rather by Dongmei Park’s boss Bengyaju (Yin Guoju) who made a call to the responsible person at Dongmei Park. Within three days, Wang Xing was located. At that time, the head of their group was tied up and blamed for the situation. They were then taken across the river from the pier at KK Park, not through Dongmei Park, and handed over to the Thai authorities.
The informant mentioned that Wang Xing was not rescued by the Thai police; they simply went to pick up the person. If a military unit had been dispatched to execute a rescue operation, they should have saved a group of people, but they only rescued one person. Moreover, when Wang Xing was sent away, they ran to the pier at KK Park, so KK Park took the blame as well. Previously, She Zhijiang bore the blame for KK Park, stating that he was the boss of KK Park, but this time the blame was passed to Dongmei Park’s people by KK.
The boss of Dongmei Group, Yin Guoju (Bengyaju), has been identified as one of the masterminds behind the northern Myanmar telefraud group infrastructure. By supporting the Chinese government’s “Belt and Road” initiative, he serves the Chinese Communist Party, hence receiving backing from the Chinese government.
“Deutsche Welle” published Zhang Junhua’s commentary today (January 15th), pointing out that the Chinese authorities do not like to connect the “Belt and Road” project with the telefraud group’s infrastructure in eastern Myanmar today, nor do they like to link the leaders of the telefraud group to China’s spy networks or reveal how exactly the telefraud group obtains the phone numbers and other personal information of Chinese citizens. They certainly do not want to link the brutal practices of the telefraud groups to the organ trafficking in the Chinese medical community. It is only under the thorough public disclosure of the above-mentioned detailed issues that a fundamental resolution of Chinese and Southeast Asian Chinese telefraud can be achieved.
Famous human rights activist Tang Baiqiao posted a video on X expressing, “I never anticipated that the scale of telefraud in Myanmar would be so large! Don’t blame all the wrongdoing on the people of Myanmar; the vast majority is done by Chinese individuals. This is evidently a super large criminal group supported by the CCP. This is one of the most heinous collective crimes in human history. Chinese people should no longer harbor any illusions about the devilish regime. Otherwise, the next person bound for this place might be you or your family!”
Epoch Times previously reported that the telefraud in Myanmar may lead to the Fujian Gang in the official ranks of the Chinese Communist Party, with the current Minister of Public Security, Wang Xiaohong, being a member of the Fujian Gang.
