After being elected as president, Donald Trump’s personnel appointments for his new administration have been closely watched. It is reported that Stephen Miller, a key figure in Trump’s immigration policy, will be serving as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Affairs.
According to sources familiar with the matter speaking to CNN, Trump is expected to announce this appointment in the coming days.
Miller previously served as a senior advisor during Trump’s first term and has been a major advocate for stricter immigration policies. It is anticipated that he will play a more significant role in Trump’s second term as president-elect.
Miller is also a key architect of Trump’s mass deportation plan for undocumented immigrants. He has stated that Trump’s second term will aim to increase the number of people deported tenfold, reaching over a million individuals annually.
“President-elect Trump will soon begin deciding who will serve in his second-term administration. These decisions will be announced after they are made,” said Trump spokesperson Karoline Leavitt to CNN.
Following his election victory, Trump first finalized the selection of the White House Chief of Staff. On November 7, he announced the appointment of Susie Wiles to the position. Wiles has been responsible for leading Trump’s campaign over the past two years and is considered a key player behind Trump’s successful campaign.
