Tito Jackson, the older brother of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, and a member of the original music group “The Jackson 5,” passed away on the 15th at the age of 70.
According to the US media “Entertainment Tonight,” Steve Manning, a long-time friend and manager of the Jackson family, announced the news of Tito Jackson’s passing. While the exact cause of death has not been determined, Steve Manning speculated that Tito Jackson passed away suddenly on the 15th while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma due to a heart attack.
On the 16th, Tito Jackson’s three sons posted an obituary on Tito’s IG account: “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Tito Jackson. We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken.”
Born Toriano Adaryll Jackson, Tito was the brother of Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, ranking third in the Jackson family. He was a singer and guitarist, and along with his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Michael, and Marlon, formed “The Jackson 5.”
Formed in 1965, “The Jackson 5” was a pop music band from Gary, Indiana, which marked the beginning of the legendary career of Michael Jackson. In 1984, they embarked on their final tour.
After the group disbanded, Tito ventured into a solo career as a blues musician in 2003, releasing two albums in the past decade. In his family, Michael and sister Janet have become influential figures in the music industry.
Recently, Tito had been touring globally with his brothers Marlon and Jackie under the name of the Jacksons. Following the sad news, a large number of fans flooded his IG account to pay tribute. Coincidentally, his last post was a tribute to his late brother Michael Jackson. On September 11th, he shared on IG that before his performance in Munich, Germany, he took the time to visit Michael Jackson’s memorial. Many fans expressed their grief, commenting, “You and Michael are finally together.”
Similar to Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Lee, and Teresa Teng, who were considered the “Four Heavenly Kings” of the latter half of the 20th century, Michael Jackson also passed away suddenly without warning, sparking various speculations. In February 2010, Jackson’s autopsy report revealed that he died at the hands of his personal doctor, Conrad Murray.
June 25, 2012, marked the 3rd anniversary of Michael Jackson’s passing. As fans worldwide commemorated this outstanding singer in their own ways, rumors emerged of the late superstar’s ghostly presence at his former residence in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. With many celebrities in recent years sharing encounters of “hauntings” while filming, leading to beliefs in the existence of spirits, the public was momentarily captivated by the chilling question: “Is the ghost at Jackson’s former home a result of his wrongful death seeking revenge?”
