Mainland Chinese Man Scared Hotline Operator by Inquiring about Establishing a Party While Pretending to be a Mayor

Under the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the minds of the people are changing. Many netizens are expressing their dissatisfaction in various ways. Just recently, a bold man dared to inquire on the mayor’s hotline on how to establish a new political party, which shocked the operator. The operator apologized repeatedly, unable to provide an answer and eventually advised the man to call the legal aid hotline for consultation on the matter.

On January 8 of this year, a video circulated on mainland Chinese social media, showing a man from Zhejiang calling the “12345” government service hotline (also known as the mayor’s hotline). However, specific details regarding the time and location of the call could not be confirmed.

Upon connecting the call, the man asked what conditions are required to apply for a new political party and expressed his intention to establish a new party to “serve the country and the people.” The female operator initially did not comprehend and even asked if he wanted to “apply to be a party member.” Once she understood that he intended to establish a new political party, the operator softly responded that she had never received such inquiries and could not provide an answer.

Despite the man’s repeated questions, the operator continued to apologize, stating that she could not answer. Finally, the operator, with no other choice, asked the man to call the legal aid hotline for further consultation on the matter.

This video quickly sparked attention and discussion among mainland netizens. Many praised the man for his courage and expressed support for his endeavor to establish a new party. Some commented, “The staff must have been scared to death.”

Currently, the video has been blocked.

The CCP constitution guarantees citizens freedom of speech, publication, assembly, association, and procession, but these rights are virtually nonexistent. Apart from the CCP, China also has eight other legally recognized political parties, but these so-called democratic parties have little actual power and are often referred to as “token parties,” serving to uphold the Chinese Communist Party.

The CCP has relentlessly suppressed citizen-led political party formations. For instance, in the 1990s, Xu Wenli and others attempted to establish the China Democracy Party, but those involved in forming the party were detained, arrested, and sentenced by the CCP authorities.

Recently, mainland netizens have been sharing various veiled videos and comments on social platforms like Douyin, alluding to challenges to the CCP’s regime.

On December 8 of last year, when Syrian anti-government forces captured the capital Damascus and the CCP’s “old friend” Assad fled to Russia, mainland netizens were excited by the change in Syria.

Late that night, mainland netizens playfully asked, “Are you prepared to freeze your hand (take action)?” People from various regions responded, saying, “Ready to take action.” Some shouted, “Where are the virtuous officials and nobles?” Others exclaimed, “The world belongs to all.” Soon, “cold weather” and “freeze hand” became tacit codes. Netizens flocked to the comments section of many Syria-related videos, chanting “freeze hand.”

On December 9 of last year, a mainland netizen posted a video, reading a partially classical Chinese text, condemning the tyranny of the CCP and its leaders. The text criticized the “Great Beardism” (Marxism) for harming China, listed various retrogressive actions of the CCP, and vowed not to rest until they are eradicated, warning the current CCP leaders of the future consequences of being shamed and resented by posterity.

This video was also censored on mainland Chinese networks.

On November 14, the CCP’s Ministry of Public Security held a press conference, warning against disseminating online firearm manufacturing methods, stating that those found in violation of the law would face criminal responsibility. The news sparked a flurry of discussions on social media, with many netizens commenting, “They are afraid” and asking, “If everyone has weapons, would they still dare to bite?” Some said, “The water that bears the boat is the same that swallows it.”
