Mainland Chinese Comedian Xu Zhaocheng Suddenly Passes Away at the Young Age of 36

Chinese comedian Xu Zhaocheng passed away suddenly recently at the young age of 36, leaving many netizens mourning his untimely death. According to sources, the cause of death is suspected to be related to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Reports from mainland Chinese media stated that Xu Zhaocheng unexpectedly passed away on the 16th and his body was cremated after a farewell ceremony on the 18th. Although the family did not disclose the cause of death, a friend mentioned that Xu Zhaocheng, who was 178 cm tall and weighed 132 kg, was overweight and had been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease but did not take it seriously. Xu Zhaocheng often performed at night, working long hours and reversing his day and night routine, coupled with the recent cold weather, unfortunately led to a sudden cerebral hemorrhage that ultimately proved fatal.

Records show that at the age of 28, Xu Zhaocheng studied under the comedian Yang Chang at the Tianjin Chinese Quyi Yanle Shengping Crosstalk Art Troupe. He was a leading crosstalk performer at the Chinese Quyi Company. His former partner, Li Yunfeng, confirmed the news of his death and mourned, “Have a safe journey, brother.” Netizens expressed their sorrow, commenting on how young he was and how unpredictable life can be.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, various sequelae including cerebral hemorrhage and heart disease have been on the rise, affecting not only the elderly but also younger individuals. For instance, the 32-year-old mainland internet celebrity “Yunnan Aqui” suffered a sudden cerebral hemorrhage during a live broadcast, remained in a coma for 8 days with unsuccessful rescue attempts, leaving behind 4 young children. Actor Liu Feng, who appeared in several films and TV series such as “Recollection of the Past” and “Twenties, Not Confused 2,” passed away from a heart attack at the young age of 25.

In addition, information circulating on Chinese social media indicates multiple infectious disease outbreaks in China recently, resulting in many severe cases and deaths in hospitals. However, the Chinese authorities have been suppressing information, concealing the true death toll. This situation seems to hint at a larger crisis looming beneath the surface.
