Los Angeles Chinatown Spring Gathering Hopes for More People to Stay Away from the Chinese Communist Party

Starting last Saturday (the 18th), the Ding Pangzi Democracy Square once again opened its annual Chinese New Year market, attracting thousands of Chinese and residents of other ethnicities to attend. The continuous two-day anti-CCP protest march on Sunday became a unique sight at this year’s event.

On Sunday afternoon, under the organization of the China Democracy Party Headquarters, dozens of Chinese individuals held banners that read “Dictatorship is Doomed to Perish,” “Hold the CCP Accountable for Global Crimes,” and “World’s Biggest Traitor,” as they marched through the square and surrounding streets, symbolically sending the CCP to its grave. Many Chinese people were out purchasing New Year goods that day, with onlookers stopping to watch and capture the moment.

“The theme of our event today is to protest the CCP’s release of the virus five years ago,” said Jielijian, Vice Chairman of the China Democracy Party, during his speech. He mentioned how the CCP concealed the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in 2020, leading to its rapid spread and causing significant economic and human losses worldwide. Over a million lives were lost in the United States alone, prompting a call for more Americans to awaken and distance themselves from the CCP.

Since the CCP’s establishment, it has not only oppressed the masses but also instilled fear and hindered people’s voices through periodic political movements. During the pandemic, the authorities imposed strict lockdowns nationwide, confining people to their homes for weeks or even months, resulting in countless tragic stories. Some recent Chinese immigrants who fled the country still vividly recall these events.

During the lockdown in Shanghai, Fang Lanfeng, who was isolated, stocked up on food despite the authorities claiming it would only last three days. However, many families believed the official announcements and did not prepare adequately, leading to hunger. Fang Lanfeng shared his food with neighbors, emphasizing that the CCP disregarded the livelihoods and safety of ordinary people.

Witnessing distressing scenes where funeral homes were unable to keep up with the number of deceased and families had to cremate their loved ones themselves, Fang Lanfeng expressed his disbelief at witnessing such horrors in the 21st century, where human rights and the rule of law in China have been completely trampled.

Le Zailin from Wuhan shared his experience of being locked down from January 23 to April 8, 2020. Running out of rice and vegetables, his family turned to local authorities for help, only to receive overpriced food items. Cabbages that used to cost 50-60 cents were sold for 8 yuan per kilogram, adding to his mental distress. However, ordinary citizens were unable to voice their concerns, and the CCP even arrested citizens who spread the truth.

Jia Huigang, a participant in the rally, stated that the CCP’s handling of the pandemic in the past few years is further evidence of its crimes. While democratic countries strive to protect the health of their citizens and respect basic human rights, the CCP utilized the pandemic to expand its power and oppress the people.

“They used ‘zero-COVID’ as an excuse to lock down cities, seal off communities, and confine people to their homes, even welding residents’ doors shut with iron chains… How many people perished because they couldn’t seek medical treatment? How many children were separated from their families? How many elderly died lonely deaths under the extreme control of the epidemic?” said Jia Huigang, emphasizing the need for overseas Chinese to speak up and expose the CCP’s lies.

The rally and march on that day garnered attention from numerous shoppers, with many recalling the chaos in China during the pandemic and expressing admiration while recording the event on their phones.

Dong Ming, a new immigrant participating in the rally, highlighted the CCP’s intimidation tactics not only within China but also extended to overseas Chinese, leading many to self-censor their speech. He hoped that more overseas Chinese would understand the true history of the CCP and voice their opinions, urging them not to forget the disaster brought upon the world by the CCP virus.

The protest rally received support and praise, leaving Jielijian feeling pleased. He noted that many Chinese friends have awakened to the fact that the CCP regime is “completely harmful to the people” and a tyranny that brings disaster to the nation. He advocated for more such activities in the Chinese community to help more people awaken and distance themselves from the CCP.

The newly appointed U.S. Secretary of State, Rubio, stated that the relationship between the CCP and the Chinese people is akin to that of a parasite and its host, a sentiment strongly endorsed by Jielijian. He emphasized that the CCP is devouring all they have, preying on their lives like a parasite. “We must remember: the Communist Party does not represent the Chinese people, and the CCP does not represent China.”

Jielijian hoped that the Trump administration would not only impose economic sanctions on the CCP but also resist its infiltration through networks, social media, and culture. After the rally, he and several local friends set off for the presidential inauguration parade site in Washington DC to continue exposing the evil of the CCP and conveying the voice of the Chinese people to the international community.
