Liu Shishi Quietly Transfers Equity to Wu Qilong Triggering Speculation and Rumors.

Chinese Actress Liu Shishi, starring in the new drama “掌心” (Palm) has attracted a lot of attention due to her marriage status. On February 20th, it was discovered that she transferred the equity of a company under her name to her husband, Nicky Wu, sparking speculation and discussions across social media platforms.

According to information from the “Qichacha” platform, on February 20th, there was a sudden change in the business registration of “Jiangsu Xizi Investment Co., Ltd.” Liu Shishi (real name Liu Shishi) originally held a 5% stake in the company, which has now been transferred to Nicky Wu.

Records indicate that “Jiangsu Xizi Investment Co., Ltd.” was established in March 2014 with a registered capital of 42 million RMB, engaging in project investment and investment management.

Reports from Chinese media suggested that based on the registered capital, the 5% equity only amounts to 2.1 million RMB, a relatively small sum for the couple. However, this move has once again fueled speculation about their marriage, leading to the viral topic of “Liu Shishi transferring her shares to Nicky Wu”. Following this change, Liu Shishi no longer holds any shares in the company, while Nicky Wu has acquired additional shares in a Chinese company.

Some netizens interpret the transfer of shares by Liu Shishi as a division of marital assets. However, both Liu Shishi and Nicky Wu have not responded to these rumors since the news surfaced.

In December last year, Chinese Internet celebrity Wang Dafa claimed that Liu Shishi and Nicky Wu had already divorced. Despite a statement from Liu Shishi’s talent agency, “Beijing Confident Entertainment Culture Media Co., Ltd.,” debunking the divorce rumors, some netizens pointed out that the company “Jiangsu Daocao Xiong Culture Media Co., Ltd.,” co-founded by Nicky Wu and Liu Shishi, had been deregistered. Initially, Nicky Wu served as the chairman, and Liu Shishi held a 20% stake in the company.

Interestingly, the 20% stake held by Liu Shishi in “Jiangsu Daocao Xiong” originally belonged to Nicky Wu’s “Beijing Daocao Xiong Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd.,” founded in 2003, and later renamed “Beijing Fubaogia Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd.” The legal representative and controlling shareholder of “Daocao Xiong” are both Liu Xiaofeng, a renowned producer known as Nicky Wu’s representative in Mainland China.

Liu Xiaofeng, acting as the legal person of “Daocao Xiong,” saw the company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2021. On its first day of trading, the stock price surged by over 83%, reaching 10.8 HKD per share. While the stock price once reached 15 HKD at its peak, the current price has plummeted to 0.5 HKD, reducing the market value to 400 million HKD from a peak of over 10 billion HKD, marking a decrease of more than 9 billion HKD.

It is noteworthy that in this listed company, Liu Xiaofeng, closely associated with Nicky Wu, holds 42.74% of the shares, while Liu Shishi holds 10.42%. This implies that over a four-year period, the assets Liu Shishi held in “Daocao Xiong” have shrunk from the peak 1 billion HKD to the current 40 million HKD, evaporating over 900 million HKD.

Nicky Wu and Liu Shishi, who fell in love while filming the drama “步步惊心” (Scarlet Heart), got married in 2015 despite their 17-year age difference and welcomed a son in 2019. Previously portraying an affectionate image, rumors of marital discord between the two have been circulating since 2022. Although Nicky Wu once took legal action by sending a lawyer’s letter to those who disclosed information, topics related to the couple announcing their divorce in the first half of 2025 became a hot search on Weibo at the end of last year.

While some insiders have claimed that Nicky Wu and Liu Shishi have a very strong relationship and have criticized the multitude of internet celebrities who seek attention and traffic, during the recent Chinese New Year period, Nicky Wu returned to Taiwan while Liu Shishi was filming in Heilongjiang, leading to speculations that they spent the holiday separately. Coupled with the recent equity transfer event, this has once again spurred rumors and speculations about the couple dividing assets or announcing a divorce.
