On November 20, a multi-vehicle chain collision occurred on the Linfeng Road Bridge in Panjin City, Liaoning Province, causing at least 6 people to be injured.
The Panjin City Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning for dense fog at 11:49 on the 20th, predicting that the Shuangtaizi District of the city would experience fog with visibility less than 500 meters in the next 4 to 6 hours.
Online videos show that on that day, dense fog enveloped the Linfeng Road Bridge, with extremely low visibility. Several damaged vehicles were seen stopped on the road after colliding, with continuous collisions captured in the video. In another video, overturned vehicles and severely damaged front ends of cars were visible, with a person lying on the side of the road unable to get up.
Urban News contacted the Shuangtai Traffic Police Brigade to inquire about the number of vehicles involved in the collision, but they said they were unsure and only mentioned that traffic flow had been restored.
According to a report by the “Sing Tao Daily,” staff from two local hospitals stated that they received at least 6 injured individuals, one of whom required hospitalization for treatment while the others had minor injuries.
