General Liu Haoxiang, during his tenure, spearheaded the preparation and personnel training for the “unmanned aerial vehicle countermeasures” project, enhancing the military’s ability to effectively counter Chinese Communist Party drone intrusions.

President Lai expressed gratitude to the six generals for their dedication in various aspects, including involvement in institutional reforms, completion of training missions, and equipment enhancements, all of which contribute to safeguarding national security.

Emphasizing the crucial role of the military in national stability, President Lai emphasized the unity and dedication of the armed forces in the face of continuous provocations from Chinese military aircraft and ships, as well as in disaster preparedness during typhoons. He thanked all military personnel for their hard work in ensuring the safety and security of the people.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing defense reforms, providing a better training environment, and modern equipment to strengthen military capabilities. The promotion of the officers today represents a greater responsibility for them to uphold. President Lai urged them to continue to demonstrate professionalism and make further contributions to the military and the nation.

Acknowledging the support and encouragement of the officers’ families, President Lai recognized their crucial role in providing strength for the officers to fulfill their duties of protecting their homeland.
