The second “Kindness Is Cool” and “Kind Thoughts Illuminate Taiwan” creative video competition, organized by the New York-based high-tech company “Clean World,” will hold its awards ceremony on March 28 in Times Square, Manhattan, New York.
On the event day, the audience at the iconic Nasdaq billboard will watch the winning videos, with winners including content creators, school students, artists, and organizations present to receive awards. Politicians, media, influencers, and sponsors will gather to witness this historic moment and celebrate the power of kindness.
This is an online event promoting kind thoughts and actions that has sparked a global trend since its inception. For the second edition, the organizers received 26,000 acts of kindness from over 50 countries, including videos, short clips, articles, posts, and photos. Currently, these acts of kindness have been shared in 150 countries, with over 10 million views on Clean World, showcasing exposure in the billions.
The “Kindness Is Cool” and “Kind Thoughts Illuminate Taiwan” competitions have not only gained wide popularity in schools worldwide but have also received praise from politicians and prominent figures from various countries, including Hon. Judy A. Sgro from the Canadian Privy Council and Members of Parliament, Karl A. Brabenec from the 98th District Assembly in New York, and Tom Harris, Chairman of the Times Square Alliance.
In Taiwan, praises and congratulations have poured in from political, business, educational, and cultural luminaries, acknowledging the organizers’ global efforts to promote kindness and recognizing the awardees in Taiwan.
Chiayi County Mayor Weng Zhang Liang believes that the international award ceremony has achieved tremendous success globally. Miaoli County Council Speaker Li Wen Bin also conveyed his affirmation and congratulations, inviting everyone to participate in this grand event and advocating for kindness to lead a culture of compassion, wishing the event a successful conclusion.

Furthermore, renowned professors and scholars from Taiwan, including Professor Weng Yu Qing from Feng Chia University, Professor Zhou Bai Xiang from National Tsing Hua University, Professor Huang Li Shan from National Tsing Hua University, and Professor Lin Ming De from Chung Hsing University, have also sent congratulatory messages expressing gratitude and support.

Moreover, the event received two calligraphy inscriptions. Song Yao Wei, Chairman of the Taiwan Calligraphy Association, presented the characters “Kind Thoughts,” while Lin De Yu, a councilor from Taichung City, inscribed “Clean Kind Thoughts Illuminate the World.” These inscriptions will be displayed at Times Square and online during this year’s awards ceremony to spread the goodwill of all.
