HYBE Provides Evidence, Files Lawsuit Against ADOR for Suspected Misappropriation of Management Rights

HYBE announced today (25th) that it will sue Min Hee-jin, the head of its subsidiary company ADOR, and other related individuals on the grounds of allegedly seizing company control, stating that the company has obtained relevant evidence. ADOR, in response, stated that Min Hee-jin will hold an emergency press conference today to address the situation.

According to HYBE, the company has confirmed evidence showing that Min Hee-jin, head of ADOR, orchestrated a plan to take over control and one of the individuals under investigation provided information and evidence about the plan to take over control and contacts with external investors. They also admitted to producing articles attacking HYBE in order to pressure them to sell their shares in ADOR.

Furthermore, HYBE also found that the individuals under investigation discussed specifically how to terminate the exclusive contracts of their artists (NewJeans) prematurely and even discussed how to invalidate the contract between Min Hee-jin and HYBE. There were records of conversations such as “prepare for a public opinion battle in May” and “turn ADOR into an empty shell company and take it away,” as well as records of the individuals under investigation documenting Min Hee-jin saying, “I will eventually break away from HYBE.”

Based on this information, HYBE is preparing to file a lawsuit on the 25th for suspected misconduct.

In response to the recent dispute between Min Hee-jin of ADOR and HYBE, ADOR had not formally responded before. However, after HYBE announced the lawsuit against Min Hee-jin, ADOR’s legal representative stated that they will hold an emergency press conference today to present ADOR’s official stance. Min Hee-jin will directly address the press to clearly convey their position on the matter.
