Hong Kong Actress Yip Tseon Reveals Family Secrets: Father Seriously Ill, Assets Grabbed by Maid

Hong Kong actress Ye Xuan, known for keeping her personal life private, recently revealed during an online livestream that her father is critically ill and facing a situation straight out of a TV drama where their unscrupulous housekeeper is attempting to seize their family assets. Ye Xuan, aged 45, disclosed the family turmoil on March 8th, explaining that she chose to step away from the situation to prioritize her father’s recovery, stating that the handling of financial matters is entirely up to him.

In the livestream, Ye Xuan shared the distressing ordeal of her father falling into a coma due to the housekeeper’s manipulation, with rumors of the housekeeper instigating a scheme to divide the family’s billion-yuan fortune. She recounted how the housekeeper constantly belittled and sabotaged their relationship, creating a tense and jarring atmosphere. Despite her efforts to persuade her father to seek medical help, she emphasized that it was ultimately his decision.

Currently, Ye Xuan’s father is under the care of the contentious housekeeper in Hong Kong while she chose to maintain a distance to ensure her father can focus on his recovery without added stress. However, relatives have expressed concerns that the housekeeper might take advantage of the situation and deplete the family’s assets.

Ye Xuan appeared undeterred and casual when recounting the distressing incident during the livestream, seemingly unfazed by comments from netizens comparing her situation to a dramatic TV plot. Interestingly, this situation bears resemblance to a storyline in a popular Chinese drama where a housekeeper conspires to swindle property and wealth from the family patriarch.

In a subsequent interview with a local media outlet on March 8th, Ye Xuan expressed gratitude for the public’s concern and reiterated her primary focus on her father’s well-being. She reiterated her stance on the financial matters, emphasizing that her father’s decisions regarding their assets are paramount and that her commitment to his care has been unwavering.

Notably, in a previous incident in 2016, Ye Xuan had exposed similar misconduct by a housekeeper, leading to legal action and eventual compensation for damages as ruled by the court.

Born in Hangzhou, China in 1980, Ye Xuan immigrated to New York with her father, a real estate businessman, during her teenage years. She gained fame by winning the 11th International Chinese Queen competition and later ventured into acting in Hong Kong, starring in various TV dramas and eventually earning accolades for her role in the film “Accident” at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 2010.

Transitioning her career to mainland China, Ye Xuan established her own studio in Beijing. She has been vocal on social media, sharing personal experiences and advocating for integrity in the industry, garnering support from her followers who admire her strength and principles.
