Henan tourist attraction reservation system crashes, thousands of tourists gather to demand refunds.

On April 4th, a surge of tourists flocked to the Wansui Mountain Wuxia City Scenic Area in Kaifeng, Henan Province, which has gained great fame on the internet due to the “Matchmaker Wang Po” attraction. However, the overwhelming number of visitors exceeded the capacity of the scenic area, resulting in chaos in management. As a result, thousands of tourists gathered at the entrance, shouting in unison for ticket refunds.

Many mainland Chinese media outlets reported that some visitors reflected that the popular program “The Three Strikes at the Zhu Family Village” at the scenic area required advance reservations for viewing. However, the mini-program suddenly crashed, preventing access to the reservation interface, leading to dissatisfaction and complaints from many tourists.

Numerous netizens left comments indicating a breakdown in the reservation system at the Wansui Mountain Wuxia City Scenic Area. Some netizens mentioned that the reservation system for “The Three Strikes at the Zhu Family Village” was inaccessible from 11 a.m. on the Qingming Festival holiday, and the system remained paralyzed afterwards.

Images shared by netizens showed the reservation mini-program page stuck on a loading screen, eventually turning into a blank page.

One visitor said she tried to access the reservation system at the designated ticket release time but failed to secure tickets. “The reservation system crashed once I entered, and after refreshing, all tickets were gone.” Another visitor mentioned that on April 4th, she intended to watch a performance at the scenic area but encountered a malfunction with the reservation mini-program, preventing her from making a reservation.

On the morning of April 5th, the scenic area issued a notice implementing crowd control measures due to the large number of visitors, halting online ticket sales.

Kaifeng Tourism Bureau responded, acknowledging that the scenic area had indeed reached its maximum capacity. They have requested the scenic area to optimize both online and offline reservation methods through third-party collaboration. Staff explained that the mini-program crashed due to the overwhelming number of reservations made that day, causing many visitors to secure positions without reservations.

Previously, the Wansui Mountain Wuxia City Scenic Area gained popularity on the internet due to the attraction “Matchmaker Wang Po.”
