Hebei Chengde Village Hit by Flash Flood, Terrifying Scene Exposed

On July 11th, a sudden flash flood occurred in a village in Chengde, Hebei Province, causing the roads to be quickly submerged. Footage from the scene was exposed, showing a very perilous situation.

In the afternoon of the 12th, a surveillance video circulated on the internet showed that on the 11th, a village in Chengde, Hebei Province was hit by a flash flood. In the video, the village was suddenly flooded by the torrent, with roads instantly submerged by floodwaters, mudslides, dragging away vehicles, items, branches, and more.

The scene was extremely alarming, with cars being dragged under bridge piers and guardrails proving ineffective. After the flood receded, the streets were covered in thick mud, and residents’ belongings placed in front of their houses were all washed away.

China Youth Net’s “Qingfeng Xia Bee” reported that the disaster occurred in Xiandianzi Village, Luping County, Chengde, Hebei. The village official stated that this disaster resulted in damage to a vehicle. The village official mentioned that this was a flash flood, and the floodwaters quickly subsided, with the ongoing task of clearing the mud.

The village official did not disclose whether the villagers evacuated before the flash flood hit, only stating that there were no casualties in this flash flood. Netizens questioned, “No casualties?”

In recent times, mainland China has been hit by floods in various areas, such as the breach of the Dongting Lake in Yueyang, Hunan, the escalating danger at the Jiufeng Dam in Pingjiang County, where people were forced to evacuate, and at least 6 deaths in flood-hit Dianjiang County, Chongqing.
