The “Golden Melody Star Voices” event, part of the “2024 Golden Melody International Music Festival,” kicked off tonight (28th) in Taipei’s Xinyi Xiangti Avenue Plaza. Seven emerging stars nominated for the “Best New Artist Award” this year, including Zheng Ping, Zou Xu, and Feng Xiaoyue, took the stage to perform live before the 35th Golden Melody Awards ceremony.
ADEM, known for both singing and songwriting, expressed extreme excitement and prepared unreleased new songs to share with everyone. He also expressed concern for his fans and urged everyone to stay healthy and enjoy together. Zheng Ping said, “It’s rare to have this opportunity to perform and sing for everyone,” and he hopes everyone will have a great time at the Golden Melody Awards tomorrow.
Jocelyn 9.4.0, who rose to fame on “Super Vocalist 3” and released an EP last year, shared her excitement to be on the Golden Melody Star Voices stage and prepared a different performance than before, hoping to show a new side to everyone.
Makav, the “Treasure Girl” from the Bunun tribe (Internet term referring to talents gradually being discovered), incorporates Bunun, Mandarin, English, and other languages in her albums. She greeted the audience in her native language when she took the stage, revealing her extreme excitement to bring Mother Tongue electronic music creations to everyone.
Feng Xiaoyue humorously shared that standing on the Golden Melody Star Voices stage with everyone felt like a small music festival. She encouraged the audience to listen to all seven performances today, which align perfectly with her album “Sevenths.”
Zou Xu revealed that he had dreamt of being a street performer when he was young, and now being on the Golden Melody Star Voices stage feels like a “big upgrade,” fulfilling his childhood dream.
Hailing from a talent show, Xu Weixiang released his first album after a decade of silence. He happily shared, “I am honored to perform with everyone as a nominee.” He also reminded everyone to watch the performance tonight and tune in to the awards ceremony tomorrow.
