Former Speaker of the US House Nancy Pelosi Undergoes Hip Replacement Surgery

Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, fell and got injured during her trip to Luxembourg and was subsequently taken to the hospital. On Saturday, December 14th, her spokesperson announced that Pelosi had successfully undergone hip replacement surgery abroad.

Ian Krager, Pelosi’s spokesperson, stated in a release on Saturday, “Earlier this morning, Honorary Speaker Pelosi successfully underwent hip replacement surgery and is currently in good condition.”

“Pelosi is very grateful for the excellent care and kindness shown by the American military personnel at Landstuhl Army Base in the Landstuhl region medical center and the healthcare workers at Hospital Kirchberg in Luxembourg,” the statement read.

The statement also mentioned that Speaker Pelosi is receiving prayers and well-wishes from everyone and is determined to ensure that all Americans have access to high-quality healthcare services.

On Friday, December 13th, Pelosi’s office issued a statement saying that she had been injured during her visit to Luxembourg and was admitted to undergo evaluation.

“While accompanying a bipartisan congressional delegation to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in Luxembourg (commonly known as a Congressional Delegation or CODEL), Honorary Speaker Nancy Pelosi was injured during an official event and was taken to the hospital for evaluation,” Krager wrote in a statement.
