Former Commander-in-Chief of the Jiangxi Armed Police Corps, Shi Wenqiu, Passes Away with Unknown Cause of Death.

Former general of the Jiangxi Provincial Corps of the People’s Armed Police, Shi Wenqiu, passed away due to an unknown illness.

According to reports from The Paper, it was learned from several friends of Shi Wenqiu that the former general of the Jiangxi Provincial Corps of the People’s Armed Police, Major General Shi Wenqiu, passed away on the evening of December 20th at the age of 76, as medical treatment for his illness was ineffective.

The report did not specify the exact cause of Shi Wenqiu’s illness.

Shi Wenqiu, a Han national, was born in October 1949 in Qidong, Jiangsu. He enlisted in the military in April 1969 and joined the Chinese Communist Party in July 1971.

Throughout his military career, Shi Wenqiu held various positions such as squad leader, platoon leader, staff officer, deputy department head, department head, deputy regimental commander, regimental commander, division staff officer, deputy division commander, and division commander. On October 1, 1997, when the unit was incorporated into the People’s Armed Police, Shi Wenqiu was appointed as the commander of the 8670 unit. In July 2004, he was promoted to the position of general of the Jiangxi Provincial Corps of the People’s Armed Police, and in July 2005, he was awarded the rank of Major General.
