Football, basketball, and volleyball are known as the “three big sports” in China. Under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, corruption has been rampant in the sports industry. In recent years, there have been numerous exposures of corruption in the football sector, with almost all the leadership of the Chinese Football Association and the Chinese Super League company being implicated. Additionally, some players and coaches have also been arrested as part of the crackdown on corruption.
