On March 31st, a netizen posted a video on social media claiming that a fire broke out at the 363 Hospital in Chengdu.
The video showed that the fire was in a room on the 4th floor of the hospital, with flames bursting out of the window. Ambulances were seen rushing to the scene, with several nurses downstairs watching.
According to a post-incident report from the Wuhou Fire Department in Chengdu, the fire occurred at 11:22 on March 31st in an office of the Universal Medical 363 Hospital in Chengdu, with office supplies being the cause of the fire. The fire was put out at 11:45 with no casualties reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Public records show that the Universal Medical 363 Hospital, also known as the Chengdu 363 Hospital affiliated with Southwest Medical University, is a comprehensive tertiary hospital located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is supervised by the Chengdu Municipal Health Commission and was originally under the China Aviation Industry Corporation Limited, but was transferred to China General Technology Co., Ltd. on March 28, 2019.
