On Saturday, July 13th, former President Trump was shot and injured at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. His four children have all released statements regarding the incident. Trump later told his supporters, “I will never surrender.”
On Saturday evening, Trump was shot in the right ear during the rally in Pennsylvania. The shooting also resulted in one fatality and two other injuries. The shooter has been killed.
After the attack, Trump sent a brief email to his supporters saying, “This is a message from Donald Trump,” “I will never surrender!”
Trump’s eldest daughter Ivanka Trump posted a statement on social media, thanking everyone for their prayers and support. She added, “Dad, I love you, today and always.”
His second daughter Tiffany Ariana Trump wrote, “The love and support you have poured out for my father is deeply appreciated. Thank you, God, for keeping my father alive. Political violence is never the solution. God bless the fearless intervention of the Secret Service and law enforcement officers. Please pray for the victims’ families. As you saw today, my father is a fighter, and he will continue to fight for you and for America.”
Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. posted a photo of his father on social media, showing Trump raising a fist with blood on his face. “He will never stop fighting to save America,” Donald Jr. wrote in the post.
Another son of Trump, Eric Trump, also shared the same photo. His caption read, “This is the warrior America needs!”
Reportedly, Trump’s youngest child Barron Trump attended the rally with his father on Saturday night.
Trump released a statement on Truth Social, saying, “I thank the U.S. Secret Service, all law enforcement agencies for their rapid response to the shooting incident in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I offer condolences to the families of the deceased and the family of another severely injured during the rally. It is truly unbelievable to see such things happening in our country.”
“Currently, we know nothing about the shooter who is now deceased. I was hit by a bullet which penetrated the upper part of my right ear. I immediately knew something was wrong as I heard swooshing sounds, gunshots, and immediately felt the bullet tearing through the skin, causing a lot of blood, so I was aware of what was happening. God bless America!”
