Delaware Hosts First 302 Day Community Resource Expo

On March 2nd, Sunday afternoon, Delaware Governor Matt Meyer held the inaugural Delaware 302 Community Resource Expo at Eastside Charter School in Wilmington.

The “302 Day” refers to the telephone area code 302 that covers the entire state of Delaware, celebrated annually on March 2nd. Various Delaware state government agencies provided local residents with a wide range of information and advisory services, including the Department of Labor, Department of Education, Department of Transportation, Delaware State Housing Authority, Department of Health and Social Services, and more. Some non-profit organizations also participated in the event.

The event also featured children’s games and outdoor free health screenings, attracting many local residents to attend.

The Community Resource Expo aimed to connect residents with valuable resources and services offered by the state government and non-profit organizations, fostering a sense of community engagement and support.

Governor Matt Meyer emphasized the importance of such events in promoting community well-being and providing access to crucial information and services that can improve the lives of residents across the state.
