Recently, there has been an incident at the Southwest University Affiliated Middle School where a homeroom teacher for a Grade 7 class had an emotional breakdown and angrily told parents in the group chat to “get lost.” The school issued a notification stating that the involved homeroom teacher’s educational work has been temporarily suspended.
On October 14th, screenshots of a WeChat conversation in which a well-known teacher in Chongqing scolded parents in the group chat surfaced, sparking widespread social attention. According to parents, this teacher surnamed Xu is a homeroom teacher for a Grade 7 class at Southwest University Affiliated Middle School.
The information from the leaked parent group chat on that day showed that around 9:30 am, Xu vented in the group of 88 parents, expressing her unstable emotions and inability to handle all their questions. She pleaded with the parents to seek assistance from school leaders or the administration if they couldn’t solve their issues on their own to avoid triggering her explosion.
At 12:32 pm that same day, Xu appeared to have a breakdown, sending messages in anger, telling everyone in the group to “get lost” and “stay far away.”
She said, “My hands are shaking uncontrollably right now. If I suddenly die, all of you must bow to my remains and apologize to my family, as well as provide compensation.”
One parent asked, “What is going on?” Another parent promptly questioned the appropriateness of a teacher speaking in such a manner.
Xu replied harshly, saying, “If you want to sue, just go ahead.” The parent insisted, “With just those words, I will definitely contact the school.”
Xu retorted, “Even if you sue me to the Milky Way, I will still scold you. What are you going to do about it?”
“Do you want to fight me? Come on, let’s end it all together. Don’t provoke me, I’ve exploded, and I don’t want to cause harm again. If you want to harm me, come, let’s harm each other.”
华商报 highlighted the news but was unsuccessful in contacting Xu. A woman staff member at Southwest University Affiliated Middle School confirmed the authenticity of the chat content, stating that they are investigating the matter and will take appropriate actions if the investigation proves the allegations. She mentioned that the decision to disclose the investigation results to the public will depend on the specific circumstances of the investigation.
An official from Beibei District Education Commission stated that they were aware of the incident and are conducting an investigation. Whether the results will be made public depends on the leadership’s decision.
In the afternoon of October 14th, a staff member from Southwest University Affiliated Middle School informed Red Star News that the school is aware of the situation with the group chat screenshots and will disclose the follow-up actions after the investigation is concluded.
Information indicates that Xu graduated from East China Normal University and has received numerous awards.
