On March 20, the Los Angeles County Police Department in California, USA, reported that on March 11 in Arcadia City, Los Angeles County, a shooting incident occurred where the 41-year-old Chinese man, Zehao Lu, is suspected of entering the residence and shooting the 61-year-old Chinese male before fleeing. Authorities believe he may have fled to China and have issued a wanted notice for him.
According to the police, the victim, a 61-year-old Chinese man, was shot in the abdomen. Despite efforts by medical personnel to save him, his injuries were too severe, and he succumbed to death. Authorities urge anyone with information about the case or the whereabouts of Zehao Lu to contact the Los Angeles County Police Department to report it.
The incident stemmed from a dispute between two acquaintances, with reports suggesting that Zehao Lu has already fled to China. Prosecutors have charged Zehao Lu with offenses including murder and assault with a semi-automatic handgun. The U.S. government may seek assistance from international law enforcement agencies, such as Interpol.
Previously reported by the Southern Metropolis Daily, during the incident Zehao Lu allegedly intercepted the victim’s wife and son at gunpoint and forced them back to his mansion. After a dispute ensued indoors, he shot the 61-year-old Chinese victim and then fled the scene, his whereabouts unknown.
Several local Chinese individuals informed reporters that Zehao Lu is from northern China and is a frequent visitor to local casinos. Some local Chinese mentioned encountering him multiple times at the renowned Commerce Casino in Los Angeles. Others stated that Zehao Lu had taken language classes at a school called Pasadena City College in the area.
