At the age of less than 58, Chen JInhu, the Party Secretary of Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, was investigated while in office. Changzhou is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province.
On February 17, the Jiangsu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision announced that Chen Jinhua, the Party Secretary of Changzhou City, was suspected of serious violations of discipline and laws, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Jiangsu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.
Just two days before Chen Jinhua was investigated, he still appeared in public.
According to the “Suqian Announcement,” from February 14th to 15th, Chen Jinhua led a delegation to Suqian (a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province) for inspection; and according to the “Changzhou Announcement,” on February 13th, Chen Jinhua conducted a special investigation on the construction of the “Liuhu” Innovation Zone.
Public records show that Chen Jinhua was born in December 1967 in Jurong, Jiangsu Province. He joined the Communist Party in November 1987 and started working in July 1992. He has served in the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department Lecture Group and the Jiangsu Provincial Government Office.
In 2002, Chen Jinhua was transferred to the Department of Young Farmers of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, and in 2003, he became the Deputy Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, concurrently serving as the Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Youth Federation in 2006.
In 2008, Chen Jinhua was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Wuxi City, in 2012, he became a member of the Wuxi Municipal Committee and the Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, and in 2014, he was transferred to be the Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection. In 2015, he also served as the Party Secretary of Jiangyin City.
In December 2019, Chen Jinhua was transferred to the Deputy Secretary of the Changzhou Municipal Committee and the Acting Mayor. In May 2020, he became the Mayor of Changzhou City, and in June 2021, he was appointed as the Party Secretary of Changzhou City until the investigation was launched.
