Recently, the sudden passing of senior CCTV host Hongyun due to illness in Beijing has attracted attention.
On February 13th, former CCTV host Zhang Zequn suddenly posted a message announcing Hongyun’s passing. Subsequently, major media outlets reported on the news of Hongyun’s death.
According to a report by NetEase’s “Tan Tan Society,” it was disclosed by insiders that on the second day of the Lunar New Year, Hongyun began to feel unwell. She went to the hospital alone for a check-up, but her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she departed from this world in just over ten days. However, it was not revealed what illness she had.
Reportedly, Hongyun enjoyed government subsidies and passed away at the age of 81.
Public records show that Hongyun, originally named Feng Yun, graduated from the Beijing Broadcasting and Television University.
In her later years, Hongyun faced online harassment for endorsing Evergrande. In 2016, during Evergrande’s 20th-anniversary celebration, Hongyun passionately recited “Gratitude,” but later when Evergrande collapsed, Xu Jiayin was arrested, owing trillions in debt, and many properties were left unfinished, her recitation became a target of criticism by many.
