CCP steps up military readiness against Taiwan, Mainland Affairs Council condemns it as troublemaker.

On November 30, 2024, the Mainland Affairs Council of the Republic of China (Taiwan) stated that the People’s Liberation Army conducted another “joint combat readiness patrol” around Taiwan on the 28th. Furthermore, on the 29th, Chinese and Russian military aircraft entered the South Korean Air Defense Identification Zone, proving that the Chinese Communist Party is not only the root cause of instability in the Taiwan Strait but also a troublemaker in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China issued a press release, stating that starting from 6:20 p.m. on the 28th, a total of 19 Chinese military aircraft, including J-16 fighters, KJ-500 airborne early warning aircraft, various types of main and auxiliary combat aircraft, and drones, conducted activities at sea. Of these, 15 instances crossed the median line and its extension, entering the airspace in northern, southwestern, and eastern Taiwan regions to coordinate with naval vessels for the “joint combat readiness patrol.”

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China emphasized that the Taiwanese military is closely monitoring with joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance methods, and dispatched mission aircraft, ships, and land-based missile systems to respond appropriately.

On the 29th, the Mainland Affairs Council of the Republic of China (Taiwan) stated in writing that Chinese military aircraft and vessels continued to harass Taiwan, with a total of 46 incidents in the past two days. Among these, 30 instances trespassed the median line to enter the airspace in the northern and southwestern regions of Taiwan, with 15 Chinese naval vessels and the release of three high-altitude balloons. Furthermore, on the evening of the 28th, Chinese military conducted another “joint combat readiness patrol.” Moreover, not only has the Chinese Communist Party continued military threats against Taiwan in the Taiwan Strait, but on the 29th, China and Russia jointly dispatched 11 military aircraft to invade the South Korean Air Defense Identification Zone, prompting the South Korean Air Force to scramble for an emergency interception.

The Mainland Affairs Council of Taiwan pointed out that the above events also demonstrate that the Chinese Communist Party is not only the root cause of instability in the Taiwan Strait but also a troublemaker in the Asia-Pacific region. The government of the Republic of China expressed strong condemnation for the irresponsible actions of China and Russia in arbitrarily disrupting peace and stability in the region.
