Car crashes into dumpling shop in Hunan, 1 dead and 2 injured

On June 9th, a black sedan crashed into a wonton shop on the roadside in Yiyang, Hunan, resulting in one fatality and two injuries.

A circulating video shows personnel lying on the ground, with a black SUV parked on the roadside and police officers on the scene managing the situation with caution tape around the shop.

According to nearby shop owners interviewed by Red Star News, the accident occurred around 7:40 am on June 9th. Several customers were dining outside the wonton shop when an elderly lady was hit and rendered unconscious on the spot, while two others were injured.

In addition, according to reports from Jiemu News and Citizens’ Concern, Mr. Wu, a shop owner, mentioned that the elderly lady who was hit lives near the market, is around 70 to 80 years old, and her son has arrived at the scene. The other two who were hit, in their thirties to forties, were also taken to the hospital after losing consciousness.

Yiyang City Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Detachment in Hunan Province reported that on that day, a 56-year-old man named Jiang, driving a small car, was preparing to park at the intersection of Datao Road and Jinda Lane in Heshan District of Yiyang City. Due to an operational error, the vehicle crashed into a storefront on the roadside, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. The injured individuals have been hospitalized for treatment and are not in critical condition. Jiang has been detained and tests have ruled out suspicions of drunk or drugged driving.
