【Epoch Times News, December 15, 2024】After being missing for several days, a female junior student from Hunan Hengyang Normal University was recently found deceased. The family stated that there were bruises near the girl’s eyes and behind her ears. When the family posted information about the girl’s disappearance online, the school requested it to be deleted.
According to Yangcheng Evening News, on December 13th, the girl’s body was recovered from the Xiangjiang River near the school.
On December 14th, the family confirmed that the girl, named Xiaoyun (alias), was 20 years old, quiet by nature, and exhibited no unusual behavior before her disappearance.
Xiaoyun’s aunt mentioned that on December 13th, Xiaoyun’s body was retrieved from the Xiangjiang River and directly taken to the funeral home. At the funeral home, the family observed bruising near her eyes and behind her ears. It is known that Xiaoyun’s parents are from Hengdong, Hunan, working in Guangzhou, and are presently awaiting updates from the police and the school.
On the evening of December 10th, Xiaoyun’s father sent her living expenses. After the transfer remained unacknowledged for a long time, he called Xiaoyun. She claimed to be watching TV and said she would reply later. However, Xiaoyun never accepted the living expenses.
On December 11th, the school contacted Xiaoyun’s family, stating that she had not attended classes that day and was unreachable.
Xiaoyun’s family immediately traveled from Guangzhou to Hengyang and reported to the police. Through surveillance footage from a supermarket, they recognized Xiaoyun’s appearance, confirming her attire. On the 12th, near the Xiangjiang River by the university, the family found Xiaoyun’s belongings, including shoes and a scarf.
