Beauty Blogger Only Found Out She Was 34 Weeks Pregnant One Day Before Giving Birth, Sparking Discussion

Recently, beauty blogger “Ting Ting and Peng Peng” shared her experience of being a mom “without any signs for three days” online, sparking discussions among netizens. On March 4th, the topic of “woman found out she was pregnant on the 7th and gave birth on the 8th” surged to the top of Weibo’s trending list.

The blogger mentioned in her video that she had her period every month, took birth control pills, went bungee jumping and lifted heavy things during her pregnancy, without experiencing any pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness, stretch marks, fetal movement, etc. She only found out she was pregnant the day before giving birth and was already over 8 months along (34 weeks).

Here’s what happened: On the night of November 6th last year, she suddenly had a lot of bleeding, went to the gynecologist on the 7th, and unexpectedly found out she was 34 weeks pregnant, with the bleeding being from her amniotic sac rupturing. On the 8th, her cervix was dilated to one finger, attempting a natural birth before discovering the amniotic fluid was contaminated, leading to a change from natural birth to a cesarean section. She went through two intense pains to deliver her baby. However, due to premature birth, the child was temporarily admitted to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and discharged successfully after ten days.

The blogger also mentioned, “I used to think that those sisters who only find out they are pregnant right before giving birth online were either ignorant or slow in comprehension. But when this happened to me, all I can say is that I was shocked.”

After the video was posted online, many netizens expressed disbelief. “She still had her period while pregnant? Is this for real?” “It’s common for fetal movements to be felt around four to five months, didn’t she feel anything?” “I’ve never heard of anything like this before.”

However, some netizens shared their own experiences. One said, “My mother gave birth to me this way, it’s medically possible. In the final stages of pregnancy, she suddenly couldn’t eat, went to the hospital and found out she was having a baby, almost due. My mom was slightly overweight at the time, had no signs, and she said her belly grew big suddenly in the morning, delivered naturally at the hospital, and I weighed 8.5 pounds, quite intriguing. I am certain about having a brother, my mom said she wouldn’t have kept me if there were signs.” “My friend found out she was pregnant at 6 months, had regular periods, thought she was just gaining weight, even bought a hula hoop for exercise.” “I know someone who thought she was just gaining weight with her second child, had her period every month, and didn’t realize she was eight months pregnant.”

One netizen even shared, “Finally found someone similar, it’s not that I’m abnormal. I also had my period and fell a few times, flat on the ground kind of falls. I only found out I was pregnant when giving birth, it happened in a hotel, oh my! Even during birth, I didn’t feel much, just uncomfortable in the stomach, like needing to go to the bathroom, then I squatted, pushed, and the baby came out.”

Many netizens envied the situation, “Wow, you guys have such an easy time giving birth.” “First thought, saved a lot on prenatal check-up fees.” “This child is so resilient.” “Must have a double uterus!”

Following this, Lychee News contacted the Kunshan City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, where the blogger gave birth, and the staff confirmed that the situation as described by the blogger online was basically consistent with what they knew.

Health blogger Mr. Six-Floor expressed that he had not encountered such a situation before, and after reading it, his heart was in knots. “Even a slight deviation can lead to irreparable consequences, but this situation is an extremely low probability event.”
