Apple will hold a launch event in September, and it is widely expected to unveil the iPhone 16 series and other new products. Recent reports suggest that next year, Apple may also introduce a more affordable and user-friendly fourth-generation iPhone SE.
The iPhone SE 4 is not just a simple update; its design will be similar to the budget version of the iPhone 16. The price point is speculated to fall between $499 to $549, and it is expected to be launched between March and May 2025. This new model may attract a significant following among Apple fans.
Rumors have it that the fourth-generation iPhone SE will feature an OLED display, which is clearer and offers a wider viewing angle compared to the current LCD panels. The phone’s size will also increase from the current 4.7-inch screen to 6.06 inches. The iPhone SE 4 will be the first in the SE series to feature an OLED display and the largest screen size.
In terms of the camera, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to come with two lenses – a primary lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens, arranged vertically this time. The main lens may see an upgrade to 48-megapixel resolution, marking a significant improvement in camera quality.
Supply chain sources suggest that the base model of the iPhone 16 will all be equipped with the A18 chip, offering enhanced graphics and AI computing capabilities. It is anticipated that the iPhone SE 4 will also feature the new A18 chip, paired with 6GB to 8GB of RAM memory and a fast-charging battery.
Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 will remove the physical Home button in favor of a full-screen display. It will support features like Face ID facial recognition, a Type-C port, and a “Capture Button” for improved functionality.
