Kaohsiung City’s Transportation Bureau has installed solar-powered smart electronic paper bus stops for locations where electricity cannot be easily accessed. These new stops are energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and equipped with smart features. Currently, there are 77 of these stops throughout the city. This year, the bureau has secured an additional subsidy of 4.8 million NT dollars from the central government to install 40 more of these stops in areas such as Taoyuan District, Shanlin District, and Dashu District. These new stops will provide passengers with real-time bus arrival information, enhancing the quality of the waiting service.
